NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique) for Allergies and Sensitivities

NAET combines principles of acupuncture, applied kinesiology and nutrition in order to treat allergies, intolerances and sensitivities developed throughout a lifetime. Usually one or more acupuncture meridians get blocked. According to NAET the body can be affected by these blockages on three different levels namely physical, metabolic and emotional. In fact emotions can be quite involved in the triggering of an allergy and can also be successfully approached with NAET.
The usual and more described form of food and environmental allergies involve the production of IgE antibodies. However there's another type of allergy, the non-atopic or "delayed" reactive type that can worsen or contribute to many different health problems. These reactions are more difficult to notice since they can occur hours or even days after consumption of an offending food. These "hidden" food allergies are said to affect as many as 60% of the population, and are believed to contribute to a variety of disorders, including ADD/ADHD (attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), migraines and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
In the case of an autoimmune disease, the body reacts against one or more of its own structures by mistake through auto-antibodies. NAET can help reverse these undesired reactions in a subtle and harmonious manner.
We could become intolerant to a Vitamin or to any mineral
As an example, vitamin A is involved in many bodily functions including vision, immunity, integrity of mucous membranes and skin and normal ageing. When the body develops an intolerance to a substance, even if it is essential, it is unable to use this substance properly. Several functions can be affected by an intolerance to vitamin A and result in many years of unsuccessful medical diagnostic procedures and treatments. The kinesiology test used in NAET can detect an allergy to vitamin A or to any other substance.
An emotion could make us intolerant to certain foods
Sometimes a strong emotional reaction to a categorical phrase or to a disturbing event occurring simultaneously while we are eating certain food can develop a strong intolerance. For example, a person eating an apple on a street corner may witness a violent automobile accident. The central nervous system interprets a negative response associated with the allergenic stimulus and now associates apples with danger. The person may thus suddenly become intolerant to apples. The intolerance develops because one or more acupuncture meridians are affected and the energy flow is interrupted. The result can affect the body at three levels namely physical, metabolic or emotional. Multiplying an event like this with our everyday lives can allow us to understand why, over time, we develop intolerances.
